Arizona State Prison Program

We’re thrilled to introduce a new chapter in One Love’s mission—coming to Arizona in February 2025!

In partnership with Marley’s Mutts, we’re launching a comprehensive inmate dog training program at Lewis Prison in Buckeye. This established program, known as Pawsitive Change, pairs incarcerated individuals with at-risk shelter dogs, transforming lives on both ends of the leash.

✨ Creating hope and opportunity for incarcerated people and pets so both may find a path home. ✨

To make this life-changing program a success in Arizona, we need YOU!

We’re looking for:

🐾 Dog Trainers: Weekly visits to Lewis Prison to guide training sessions.

🐾 Fosters: Short-term care for dogs to prepare them for the program.

🐾 Volunteers: Help care for and work with the dogs at Heidi’s Village.

Why this matters:

 • This program builds trust, confidence, and skills for incarcerated individuals, opening doors to a brighter future.

 • Dogs in the program gain critical training, confidence, and social skills, preparing them for forever homes.

Join us in this inspiring journey and help bring Pawsitive Change to Arizona!

Together, we can spark brighter futures for people and pets. 🐾❤️
